Our story

Founded in 1998 by Sam and Yvonne Milligan, we have encouraged and supported thousands of Children and Young People through our mentoring and development work in schools, outreach work in the community and now also at our 15 acre Activity Centre in Wokingham through our Programmes of Equine Assisted Learning.

We had a vision to have a Centre where we could integrate all aspects of our work on one site. The land was released by Peter Luff in 2013 and our staff, volunteers, local churches and businesses came together to provide labour and materials to build this vision and make it reality. We named the new multi-activity Centre and stables Rehoboth, after a well in the bible:

“Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land” - Genesis 26:22

Our Centre is home to an office block, activity rooms, a stable block (with 9 stables), a menage (riding school) and small animal enclosures.

On May 13th 2014, our Activity Centre was opened by Zara Tindall, the Queen’s granddaughter and Olympic medallist. Zara toured the premises, watched an Equine Assisted Learning demonstration, planted an oak tree and unveiled a plaque to mark her visit.

We currently work with over 100 Children and Young people from 65 of the region’s schools and continue our outreach work in the local towns of Woodley and Wokingham.
